The amendments made to SB 35 change the composition of state central committees for political parties. Instead of allowing one member per congressional district to be elected in various ways, the new requirement mandates that each committee must have two members—one male and one female—elected directly by primary voters. This change aims to ensure better gender representation within political party leadership and promotes a fairer election process, which can lead to more balanced perspectives in decision-making.
