The amendment to SB 2040 specifically clarifies the language regarding sound recordings that are not part of a motion picture or audiovisual work. It changes the phrase from "from the sound track" to "accompanying," which may provide a clearer legal definition. This matters because it helps ensure that the law more precisely outlines which types of sound recordings fall under its provisions, potentially impacting copyright protections for older recordings.
