What changed in the latest version
342 added · 379 removedPlain-language change summary
The latest version of SB 3522 introduces specific conditions to limit prepayment penalties on high-risk home loans, ensuring that consumers aren't charged excessive fees beyond a specified time or amount. Additionally, the bill sets caps on total points and fees related to loan transactions, making loans more affordable for borrowers. These changes are important because they provide greater consumer protection against predatory lending practices, especially for those who may be financially vulnerable.
