Plain-language change summary

The amendments to Bill SB 965 introduce a new section regarding automated speed enforcement violations, defining how these violations will be recorded and addressed. Additionally, the language around penalties for failing to pay fines for various traffic violations has been clarified to include specific offenses related to automated speed enforcement systems. This matters because it aims to increase accountability for drivers who violate traffic laws, potentially improving road safety and ensuring that fines are enforced more effectively.
