Plain-language change summary

The amendment to Bill HB 2802 adds a new section that requires the law-enforcement training subcommittee to include rules for training officers who participate in school safety programs. This means that officers can now earn training credits for their involvement in such initiatives, promoting an increased emphasis on school safety. This change is important because it encourages law enforcement to be more actively involved in ensuring safe school environments while also providing them with necessary training credits.
