Plain-language change summary

The key change in Senate Bill 564 is that it now mandates the Department of Corrections to contract with at least three vendors instead of the two or three previously mentioned. Additionally, it clarifies that they must allow for a storefront in Milwaukee where third parties can order items for inmates, enhancing the ease of access for families and friends. This matters because it increases the variety of personal property items available to inmates and potentially improves their quality of life while incarcerated.
