The latest amendment to SB 707 includes a significant change that increases payments by 25 percent for in-person services provided by therapists and other professionals working with the Birth-to-Three program in West Virginia. This change, which was not in the original version of the bill, aims to better compensate these service providers, recognizing the vital work they do for young children. Additionally, it ensures that any leftover funds in the program are retained and used for its intended purpose instead of reverting to the state Treasury, allowing for continued support of essential services.
