Plain-language change summary

The latest version of SB 37 specifies that classroom teachers can sell up to 10 unused personal leave days back to their county board for a salary enhancement, rather than a cash bonus as mentioned before. Additionally, it clarifies that once these leave days are sold, they are forfeited and can no longer be used by the teacher. This change is important as it emphasizes the incentive for teachers to maintain attendance while ensuring that the leave days are no longer available after redemption, which could encourage more consistent classroom presence.
