Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 3030 removes the fee caps on permit applications for water pollution control, allowing for potentially higher fees based on the complexity of the applications. This change is significant because it provides the state with increased flexibility to adjust fees, ensuring that they can cover the costs associated with reviewing and processing permits effectively. In essence, this could lead to better management of water resources by ensuring that the permit system is adequately funded, while also potentially increasing fees for larger or more complex operations.
