Plain-language change summary

The amendment to Assembly Bill 235 includes additional provisions requiring the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) to notify the Joint Committee on Finance before spending funds on rural economic development programs. Specifically, WEDC must explain their intended use of the funds, and if the committee doesn't respond within 14 days, WEDC can proceed with the spending. This change is important because it adds a layer of oversight for how state funds are allocated, ensuring that there's a check on spending decisions related to rural economic initiatives.
