Plain-language change summary

The bill HB 2948 has changed by removing a limit on the loan value of motor vehicles, which previously had to be less than $9,500 for certain dealers and companies to obtain ownership of abandoned or junked vehicles. This means that more types of vehicles, regardless of their value, can be reclaimed by licensed dealers, auction houses, repair facilities, or towing companies when they find them abandoned. This is important because it allows for better management of abandoned vehicles, which can improve local communities by reducing clutter and potentially allowing for the vehicles to be repaired and resold.
