In plain language

The bill eliminates the sunset for tobacco settlement revenue deposits into a jobs trust fund.

This legislation amends a previous law to ensure that certain tobacco settlement funds continue to be deposited into the 21st century jobs trust fund by removing a scheduled sunset. This change aims to maintain ongoing financial support for job-related initiatives tied to these funds.

What this means for you
  • Workers: Workers may benefit from ongoing job creation programs funded by the continued deposits from tobacco settlement revenues.
  • Small Business: This could mean more stable funding opportunities for small businesses in jobs initiatives supported by the trust fund.
