Plain-language change summary

The changes to AB 967 allow school boards to approve contracts for charter schools that include a provision enabling the charter school's governing board to open additional charter schools, provided that their existing schools rank in the top two performance categories in state accountability reports. This update makes it easier for high-performing charter schools to grow and expand, fostering more educational opportunities in Wisconsin. Essentially, if a charter school is doing well, it can open more schools without waiting for new contracts, promoting effective educational models.
