Plain-language change summary

The amendment to Assembly Bill 25 has changed the language regarding the types of vaccinations that employers cannot require. Previously, the bill included a specific provision about showing proof of vaccination against the SARS-CoV-2 virus and its variants. Now, the bill emphasizes prohibiting any requirement for employees or job applicants to receive vaccinations not only for the original virus but also for any derived mutations. This matters because it broadens the scope of protections for employees concerning mandatory vaccination policies in the workplace.
