Plain-language change summary

The amended version of Bill HB 366 clarifies eligibility criteria for the Virginia National Guard State Tuition Assistance Program by specifying that eligible individuals must be enrolled in a program at any public or accredited nonprofit private institution that primarily focuses on collegiate or graduate education, as opposed to religious training. Additionally, it streamlines the language regarding funding limitations and application processes. This clarification is important because it ensures that service members understand exactly where they can receive tuition assistance, which can help them make informed decisions about their education.
