Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Bill HB 1018 strengthen the powers of investigators from the Office of the Attorney General when dealing with violations of tobacco laws. Specifically, they are now explicitly authorized to seize cigarettes that are sold or distributed illegally and can actively participate in enforcement actions. This is significant because it enhances oversight and enforcement of tobacco regulations, potentially helping to combat illegal tobacco sales more effectively.
