Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to SB 43 replaced the proposed establishment of an ombudsman program for persons with disabilities with a helpline program within the disAbility Law Center of Virginia. This shift means that instead of having an ombudsman who would respond to questions about state services, the focus will now be on creating a direct helpline for support. This change matters because it aims to provide immediate assistance and information to individuals with disabilities in a more accessible way.
