The amended version of Bill SB 5128 reduces the effective date for the new registration fee for electric motorcycles from October 1, 2019, to July 1, 2019. Additionally, the overall structure of the bill remains the same, but this change allows electric motorcycle owners to benefit from the lower registration fee sooner. This matters because it provides immediate financial relief to electric motorcycle users, encouraging more people to consider switching to eco-friendly transportation options.
