Plain-language change summary

The amendment to HB 1084 simplifies the process for renewing disabled parking placards in Virginia. Previously, individuals needed a medical professional's certification each time they renewed their placard, but now, while they still need to confirm their disability is permanent, they will no longer require that certification for renewals. This change is significant because it reduces barriers for individuals with disabilities, making it easier and less cumbersome for them to maintain access to necessary parking accommodations.
