Plain-language change summary

The amendment to SB 471 modifies the powers granted in a power of attorney concerning real property. Notably, it removes specific phrases allowing for sales and exchanges of property while adding more options for managing real estate interests, such as zoning applications and consents. These changes are important because they clarify and expand the authority of agents acting under a power of attorney, ensuring they can manage real estate effectively without needing prior consent for every action.
