Plain-language change summary

The amendment to Bill SJM 8019 updates the timeframe and funding details related to a volcano monitoring initiative. Specifically, the funding period has shifted from 2018-2022 to 2019-2023, which may affect how the funds are allocated and used. This change is important because it ensures that monitoring systems can be effectively implemented in areas at risk of volcanic eruptions, ultimately helping to protect lives and property in Washington and surrounding states.
