What changed in the latest version

The most notable change in Bill SB 6476 is the increase in the indigent cap for inmates from $10 to $25, allowing them better access to services within correctional facilities. Additionally, the bill now encourages weekly access to the facility commissary program, aiming to improve inmates' ability to obtain necessary items. These changes are important because they recognize the financial and emotional burdens of incarceration on families and strive to enhance support for inmates, ultimately aiding in their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
