Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to HB 678 clarify the conditions under which a trustee can be released from liability for breaches of trust by a beneficiary. Specifically, it now states that a beneficiary is considered to have approved a trustee's actions if they do not object within 60 days after receiving a detailed report at the termination of the trust. This change is important because it provides a clearer process for both trustees and beneficiaries, ensuring that beneficiaries are informed and have an opportunity to voice concerns before automatically releasing trustees from liability.
