Plain-language change summary

The amendments to Bill SB 5148 clarify the specific requirements for hunters regarding visible clothing. The updated version specifies that hunters must wear at least 400 square inches of fluorescent orange or pink clothing above the waist and visible from all sides. Additionally, it changes the penalty for violations from one law to another, which could impact how those infractions are handled. These changes aim to enhance hunter safety and ensure clearer enforcement of the clothing requirements.
