The updated bill SB 481 now specifies that the community revitalization program in the Upper Kanawha Valley will remain active until June 30, 2029, an extension from the previous end date of June 30, 2024. Additionally, the bill emphasizes the need for a final report to be delivered to the Joint Committee on Government and Finance by October 1, 2024, allowing for more time to assess the program's impact. These changes are significant because they provide a longer timeframe for the program to operate and gather data, which can lead to more effective revitalization efforts in the community.
