Plain-language change summary

The latest version of Bill SB 154 establishes a secure online central registry for advance health care directives in Virginia, which is an important step in improving access to critical health care planning documents. It specifies the types of documents that can be submitted, such as health care powers of attorney and advance directives. This change ensures that individuals can easily manage and file their health care preferences in a confidential manner, which matters because it helps ensure that people's wishes are respected in medical situations where they may be unable to communicate.
