Plain-language change summary

The latest version of Bill SB 250 now requires certain drivers in the graduated driver's license program to display a "Student Driver" sign on their vehicles. This change clarifies what the sign should look like and allows the Division of Motor Vehicles to help distribute them and provide information on where to get them. The addition of penalties for not displaying the sign aims to increase safety by making other drivers more aware that they are sharing the road with inexperienced drivers. This is significant as it helps protect new drivers and raises overall road safety.
