Plain-language change summary

The amendment updates the definition of "General condition rating" to specifically refer to a rating collected in accordance with federal regulations, and it clarifies that "state of good repair purposes" relate to improving deficient bridge conditions. Additionally, the language has been refined to ensure the Board uses allocated funds for reconstruction, replacement, and improvements of structurally deficient bridges, while also including pavement on the Interstate System and primary state highways. This matters because it directly impacts how funds are allocated and used for bridge and pavement repairs, emphasizing the importance of addressing both bridge and road conditions.
