Plain-language change summary

The amendments to HB 1685 clarify that the provisions regarding license taxes in this bill will override any conflicting limitations or requirements found in Chapter 39 of the Code of Virginia. Additionally, the language regarding the licensing requirements for individuals engaging in businesses has been slightly rephrased for clarity. This change helps ensure that local jurisdictions can implement uniform provisions for business licensing without ambiguity.
