What changed in the latest version
58 added · 57 removedPlain-language change summary
The amended HB 1940 bill now specifies that the Board for Waterworks and Wastewater Works Operators must include a currently employed wastewater works operator, whereas the previous version did not clearly distinguish between waterworks and wastewater operators. This change is significant because it ensures that there is direct representation from professionals who specifically handle wastewater systems, which can lead to better-informed decision-making and oversight for these critical services. Overall, the amendment aims to enhance the board's effectiveness in managing water and wastewater operations in Virginia.
