The amendment to § 10.1-1018 of the Code of Virginia increases the total membership of the Virginia Land Conservation Board of Trustees from 19 to 20 members. This change includes an increase in the number of nonlegislative citizen members from 11 to 12. Additionally, the process for appointing legislative members has been clarified, stating that they will be appointed by the Speaker of the House of Delegates. This adjustment may impact the representation on the Board by ensuring a broader citizen inclusion and clearer appointment procedures.
