The recent amendments to Bill SB 430 clarify the responsibilities of the Department of Revenue regarding banking services. Now, the Department is required to use the State Treasurer's contracts for any banking-related services unless they receive an exemption. This change ensures that all state financial transactions are handled consistently and potentially more efficiently, which can help in better managing state funds.
