What changed in the latest version
29 added · 30 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated bill now requires all student identification cards in Virginia's public schools and higher education institutions to prominently display the "988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline" number. It also mandates that these institutions annually review this contact information to ensure it remains accurate. This change is important because it aims to provide students with immediate access to mental health resources, which could be crucial in times of crisis.
