Plain-language change summary

The amendments to SB 1013 introduce specific "notification concentrations" for certain PFAS chemicals, including GenX, PFBS, PFOA, and PFOS, detailing when waterworks owners must notify customers about contamination. It requires waterworks owners to report test results that exceed these concentrations to the Department and inform customers through consumer confidence reports and public notices. Additionally, the text specifies that notification is required prior to the establishment of maximum contaminant levels in federal or state regulations, emphasizing transparency for affected customers.
