What changed in the latest version

The amended version of HB 2020 clarifies the penalties for trespassing with unmanned aircraft systems, specifically focusing on their use near dwellings and correctional facilities. It specifies that a person can be charged with a misdemeanor if they knowingly fly a drone to harass someone or violate security regulations. This change is important because it reinforces privacy and security measures, especially around sensitive areas like correctional facilities, while making sure that individuals who have permission to fly drones are not penalized.
