The recent amendment to HB 1419 expands the eligibility for the Brown v. Board of Education Scholarship Program. Previously, the scholarships were limited to adult education programs for a high school diploma or equivalency, while the new version allows awards for a broader range of educational programs, including two- and four-year college degrees, master's degrees, and professional programs. This change is significant because it opens up more opportunities for students to access higher education and technical training, helping them better prepare for their futures.
