Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to SB 1333 include updates to the definitions and roles of a clean energy advisory board and its associated funding programs for low- to moderate-income Virginians. Notably, there is a new emphasis on seeking federal assistance, specifically mentioning the Inflation Reduction Act, to secure additional resources for solar energy and energy efficiency projects. This is important because it could expand financial support, making renewable energy options more accessible to lower-income households and fostering a more sustainable energy future in Virginia.
