The amended version of Bill SB 1376 simplifies some regulations surrounding stormwater management in Virginia. Notably, it introduces a new option for property owners to enter into a contract with the Virginia Stormwater Management Program (VSMP) instead of following a traditional stormwater management plan for certain small constructions. This change aims to make compliance easier, especially for homes and small farm buildings, which could encourage development while still protecting the environment.
