The recent amendment to HB 2173 updated the exemptions for regulations on bedding and upholstered furniture. Notably, the revised bill clarifies that items over 75 years old are exempt, while removing a previous exemption related to interstate public carriers. This change matters because it simplifies the regulation process, ensuring that antique bedding and furniture is not subject to unnecessary oversight, which could benefit retailers and individual sellers focusing on historical items.
