Plain-language change summary

The amendments to Bill SB 883 include changes that clarify how often the accreditation status of schools will be reviewed. Originally, schools could have their accreditation status assessed every three years if they had consistently met standards, but the updated version specifies that the Board will issue a multi-year corrective action plan if needed during this period, ensuring continuous oversight. This matters because it enhances accountability and supports schools in maintaining their accreditation by providing a structured process for improvement.
