The amendments to Senate Bill 835 clarify the definitions related to prohibited sales and loans to juveniles, particularly concerning what constitutes "nudity" and "sexual conduct." Key changes include a rewording of the definition of nudity to more explicitly include the exposure of male and female genitals and breasts, while also refining the criteria for evaluating what is "harmful to juveniles." This matters because it seeks to better protect young people by clearly defining inappropriate materials, ensuring that the law more effectively addresses modern concerns about access to explicit content.
