The changes to Bill HB 2147 involve clarifying the language and setting a deadline for the Board of Pharmacy to report on the need for translated directions for prescription use. The revised bill now specifies that a work group will evaluate the barriers to providing these translations and how pharmacies can better inform patients about available language services. This is important because it aims to improve healthcare accessibility for non-English speakers, ensuring they understand their medications and prescriptions.
