The amendments to § 6.2-1537 clarify the authority of the Attorney General regarding violations by unlicensed persons under this chapter. The changes specify that the Attorney General may seek both monetary and injunctive relief in court, and they expand the provisions allowing the court to impound property and appoint a receiver to identify damages to borrowers and facilitate refunds. This means the Attorney General has enhanced tools to address violations and provide remedies for affected consumers.
