Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Bill SB 308 made some important changes regarding the terms of board members for agricultural boards in Virginia. Specifically, the term for appointments to the Horse Industry Board was increased from three years to four years, while maintaining the limit of two consecutive terms for at-large members. Similarly, the Potato Board's membership appointments also have terms lasting four years. These changes are significant because they can enhance stability and continuity within these boards, which are crucial for managing Virginia's agricultural interests effectively.
