What changed in the latest version
23 added · 22 removedPlain-language change summary
The recent amendment to Bill SB 733 clarifies the insurance requirements for certain exempt vehicles, such as trailers and semi-trailers. Previously, the language suggested that these vehicles needed a specific type of insurance and were not generally required to adhere to other insurance laws. The update emphasizes that owners must provide proof of insurance when requested, helping ensure better compliance and coverage for these vehicles. This change matters because it strengthens the enforcement of insurance requirements, aiming to reduce the number of uninsured vehicles on the road.
