The recent amendment to SB 200 updates specific regulations within the Virginia Freedom of Information Act by clarifying which records are excluded from mandatory disclosure. One key change is the inclusion of information related to onsite sewage complaints and more precise language about how certain investigations are handled. This matters because it enhances transparency regarding how administrative investigations are conducted while still protecting sensitive information, ensuring a balance between public access and individual privacy.
