Plain-language change summary

The amendments to Bill HB 557 add clarity to the property conveyance to Smyth County by specifying the building and land involved in the transaction. The bill now clearly identifies the "Rehabilitation Building" and describes the additional 2.5 acres of land that will also be conveyed, ensuring that local officials understand the exact details of what is being transferred. This matters because it helps streamline the process for Smyth County and ensures they know what property they will receive from the state.
