Plain-language change summary

The revised version of Bill SB 5252 includes changes that clarify the restrictions on sharing federal background check results related to home care aide certifications. Specifically, it states that these results cannot be shared with any state agency or individual, ensuring stricter privacy protections for applicants. This matters because it aims to safeguard sensitive information while still allowing necessary checks to be conducted for the safety of vulnerable populations, which includes children and adults receiving care services.
