Plain-language change summary

The amendment updates the definition of "Affordable Care Act" to clarify that it includes not just the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act but also the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010, and specifies that it may be further amended. This change is important for ensuring that the definitions used in the Commonwealth Health Reinsurance Program reflect the most current legal framework for health care reform.
