Plain-language change summary

The revised version of House Bill 1892 has made some important changes to how loans will be administered to organizations developing housing for low-income households. The language now emphasizes that loans will be "prioritized and awarded" rather than just "awarded," and it specifically highlights the need for a greater commitment of private capital as a selection criterion. These changes matter because they aim to encourage projects that are more ready for construction and financially sustainable, ultimately helping to ensure that limited resources are directed to the most viable housing developments.
